October 24, 2009 - Old Englewood Masonic Building The night started out like any other night. It was a crisp fall evening in Englewood CO. Not a cloud in the sky. At 3500 S Sherman St. a location that has provided over fifty years of Masonic gathering for Englewood Lodge #166 now lay empty. Small items remained reminding us of a time well spent. At 6:00 pm on the night of October 24th 2009 life as we knew it was about to change. From all corners of the city Ghouls, Goblins, Little Devils, Creatures of all kinds began to congregate at said location. If not for the assistance of Super Mason and The Grimm Reaper himself the building was sure to be turned into rubble.Wyatt Earp sprang into action. Realizing there was a situation needing immediate attention. He rushed to the graveyard and begun taming the out of control creatures. With the push of a button the sound began to radiate throughout the building. As the music played the group began to dance and control was restored. Curiosity arose as unexplained noises were heard from above and below. Small guided groups set out to investigate the upper floors and basement of the building. Not knowing what was in store they found out quickly that the location was indeed HUANTED... HAHAHAHA. If anyone found themselves famished they were able to tame their hunger with an array of ghoulish goodies like vampire bitten cupcakes and eyeball doughnuts. You were also able to warm your stomach with chili cheese nachos. As night wound down the creatures began to go into the night to terrorize the unsuspecting public. But if anyone found that they were to tired to leave there was plenty of rooms still available at the Haunted Hotel. You could check in but who knows if you would ever check OUT!!!! On Behalf of Brent Claypool and Myself we would like to send a very hearty thank you to all who help in making the first annual Englewood #166 Halloween Party a success. We had 70+ people attend. Thank you to Brothers Dave Lundy, Mike Moore, Brent Claypool, John Peck, Bill Maddox, John Russell, Lonnie Farmer, Keith Anderson, and Peter DeLaurier for attending.
